Countering the Effects of Medication, Feeling Stronger
Post surgery, I was looking for a physical trainer to partner with in counteracting the effects of long term medication, and in building a stronger body for health reasons. After a year of training with May, my walking gait has improved, knees feel stronger and better supported by muscular mass built through exercises planned by May. I feel confident that I can depend on her expertise to address pain in the body and more importantly learn new habits to slowly build a stronger, pain-free body. Thank you May for being a very important part of my healing process!

Ease the Effects of Chemotherapy
Cancer and chemotherapy have greatly affected and changed my body and mind. During chemotherapy, I have developed chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. A year into post chemotherapy, the side effects, pain and discomforts lingered on. My hands and legs were frequently stiff, swollen and tingling with pins and needles. I was struggling with fatigue, balance and mobility.
I met May at Move Therapy in January 2018. Her studio is no frills but well equipped and personable. May did not paint me any rosy promises or rainbow illusions. She did some evaluations and suggested we can start with some rehabilitation and strengthening workouts. I never looked elsewhere after our initial workout and I have been going to her since.
Thanks to her guidance and motivation, I have physically improved and no longer suffering in pain and discomfort. The tingling pins and needles in my hands and feet have much subdued and most important, I am no longer struggling with my balance and mobility.

Each session I see improvement
I was fortunate to connect with May at Move Therapy to heal my shoulder and back issues. On day one, she did a thorough assessment of my posture and range of motion. She made a great exercise plan for me. With each session I could see the improvement, and magically my pain went away. Still before starting each session, she would assess then adjust the exercises accordingly. Thank you May for relieving my pain and giving me a new understanding on how I can maintain my body balance and posture!! I strongly recommend Move Therapy to anybody who is in pain, and if you are not in pain, the sessions will let you gain a new understanding of the human body.

LISTENING & CONSIDERATE
"I underwent surgery at the end of 2015 and upon recovery, I needed to look into rehabilitation. May has not only helped with the mobility of my shoulder and the building of my body’s muscle mass, but she has also vastly helped with the improvement of my posture. I not only feel better but look better! Surely there are many fitness trainers and gyms all over Singapore but what sets May apart from them is that she is someone who is not just constantly learning in the expertise of fitness and rehabilitation but she is one who is observant, listening and considerate to her clients’ physical conditions and their fitness aspirations. It is the progress in the process that leads to the results. I’m truly blessed to have May as my personal fitness trainer!"

The Case For Strength Exercises And Manual Therapy
You can blame it on fashion. Our love of baggy jeans have resulted in the disappearance of the buttocks. But the bigger culprit is our sedentary lifestyle. We have wasted away the most powerful muscles in the body.
Buttock atrophy is believed to be the cause of low back pain and a host of other muscle and joint pain related to the lower body.
